Cedar Lodge is under new management
The name is not changing, and neither is the place. Here is who runs it now, what the people before us left behind, and what we are working on.
Cedar Lodge came under new management on 30 September 2026. It is owned and run by Cedar Lodge Ventures, LLC, and Daniel, who owns it, answers the email address on this site himself.
The people who ran it before us ran it well, and their guests said so in numbers we did not earn.
The 246 guest reviews that existed before 30 September 2026, averaging 4.86, were written by people who stayed here under the previous owners. They describe someone else's work. We do not republish them as ours, we have none of our own yet, and we will not borrow anybody else's.
What we are working on, in order. Taking bookings directly on our own page, so you can pick the actual room or the actual site rather than a category. Publishing every price in full, so the only thing added at checkout is the Plumas County tax. Staying open every month of the year, including the ones when the road through the park is shut. Answering email within one business day.
From 30 September 2026, every piece of work we finish here goes on a list with the date we finished it. The list starts empty on purpose. We would rather be judged on a counted list than on adjectives.
