What a room is like
The rooms sit under one roof along a covered walkway. You park in front of your own door, and the covered walkway keeps the weather off the step.
Two things worth knowing before you book, because we would rather you read them here than find them out at nine at night. There is no air conditioning: the rooms have radiant heat, a ceiling fan and portable fans, which is enough for most of the year up here and not enough for a hot July afternoon. And Highway 36 runs past the property, so you will hear traffic.
The rooms have a kitchenette, so a late arrival can make coffee and heat something without getting back in the car. The rooms carry park names, not numbers, and the name is on the door.
- Kitchen
- A kitchenette with a coffee maker, a kettle, a microwave, a refrigerator and freezer, a gas stove and oven, a toaster, and dishes and silverware.
- Bath
- Private, with hot water, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body soap.
- Bed
- Bed linen, extra pillows and blankets, and a closet.
- Heat and air
- Radiant heating, a ceiling fan and portable fans. No air conditioning.
- Screen and internet
- A television and wifi, and a dedicated workspace.
- Entry
- Your own door onto the lot, with a smart lock, so you can let yourself in.
- Outside
- Picnic tables, an outdoor dining area, a grill, a fire pit and a shared grass area.
- Safety
- A smoke alarm, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.
- Cameras
- Four cameras cover the front and back of the property. None inside a room, ever.

We have no photographs of the inside of a room yet, so there are none on this page. Ours are being taken and they go up the week they exist. We would rather show you an empty page than somebody else's room.
Before you book
Cancellation
Free until 48 hours before check in. Inside 48 hours we charge the first night.
And if you book three or more days ahead, California gives you a second, separate right: 24 hours from your confirmation to cancel free for any reason, refunded within 30 days. It does not apply to a booking made inside 72 hours of arrival. Both rights, in full.
What you pay
No card is taken on the booking page yet. We hold your dates and email you to confirm.
We charge the full stay when you book, refundable under the cancellation policy.
The nightly price is the whole price we charge. There is no booking fee, no resort fee and no cleaning fee. Plumas County adds 9 percent occupancy tax and 3 percent tourism district assessment on top, and both stop after 30 nights.
Two nights in a room is $250, plus $22.50 occupancy tax and $7.50 tourism district: $280 in total.
House policies
Check in after 4 PM. Check out 10 AM. Quiet hours 10 PM to 6 AM. No smoking. One night minimum. Up to two dogs, 70 lbs or less, at $20 a night.
A service animal is not a pet: the dog limits and the nightly charge do not apply to one and we never charge for one. All six policies, in full, are on rates and policies.
Accessibility
We have not measured anything here for accessibility yet: not a doorway, not a step, not a shower. We are measuring it in October and the numbers will go on this page.
